@fancheng mate

Thanks for this useful tutorial. Appreciated!

I'm using Sport Tracker on Nokia E90 for the VERY 1ST TIME today.
However, it seems that the tracking is not very satisfactorily. Some of the "leg time" even reach 32 seconds (See: Circle 3).
(Since this was only my test track, so I drove with normal speed)
I upload the screenshot for you to comment. Especially the area in red circles.

Can you please tell me:
1. Why there were so messy and so many overlaps at circle 1 when I was only driving round and round looking for parking (see the track without yellow colour)?
2. Why the track was seriously "off road" at circle 2?
3. Why the track was not fitted on the road and the roundabout (Circle 4)?

Is there anything that I might have missed out?
Is there any setting/other tracking software that you'd like to recommend?

Thanks for your time...

Poor reception maybe? Tall buildings around there?

winwintoto1234 wrote:2. Why the track was seriously "off road" at circle 2?

Again maybe poor reception, and/or, processor delay on the mobile.

Your track here probably reflects a more correct position compared to the existing representation on the map (don't always assume that the roads already in our map are at their absolute accurate positions; there may be offsets).

Thanks for your kind reply mate. :tq:

I suspected so but I was driving around a row of shop house only. With some trees beside.

The area was not covered by anything.
Probably it is due to the processor delay on the mobile phone as you said. No matter how high tech the phone is, it is still a phone and not a GPS device...

This clear my doubt mate...

So bro duke17, have a nice tracking with your 5800 XM!
Could be better if we can find high performance CPU for Nokia phones..
Just waiting for the new Nokia phones to come with the 600MHz processor.

But the Nokia 5800 is very good. It has a very bright big screen with vivid colours.
