Location: N3 16.565 E101 30.015, Rawang
I have downloaded a map of vietnam and extracted it to *.img but the problem is the filename is Viet Nam Open.img. It can be open via Mapsource but on garmin it does not appear. Is there any way to convert this map into readable map on GMXT ?

philippines get the free garmin map from roadguide.ph

Mapsource only reads *.gdb, *.gpx, *.mps, & *.loc files. It cannot read *.img

Are you sure that the file you download is a Garmin's proprietary IMG map format for their brand of GPS receivers *.img file ?

yes i can create the *.img file and browse Vietnam (poi included) on Mapsource, but on GMXT nothing appear so how to make it readable on GMXT . I tried rename it from Viet Nam Open.img to gmapprom.img and gmapsup1.img but still nothing appeared on my GMXT.

I'm wiling to upload it here (vietnam map) if it can be done.

Have you tried gmapsupp.img ?

gmapsupp.img is for malfreemap, for the vietnam map i rename it to GMAPPROM.IMG. but still dont appear on my garmin unit.
