Is it possible to watermark the jpeg photos with MFM so that even if it is 'borrowed', users will know where it came from, and whether is stolen?

Here's something I found on the net on watermarking using the freeware Irfanview.

Contributors can watermark the photos using a standard MFM logo (or something that we all can agree to) and submit to Mapper.

another FREE software is also very easy to use, I used it a few years ago...... has the features like Illustrator, Xara X, CorelDraw etc..... It's an Open Source vector graphic editor...
