Re: How to patch N2x0W/2x5W/7x0/7x5 to enable 1-sec tracklog

eg
Setting the navigation to "Pedestrian" or "Bicycle" mode?

Navigation mode has no effect on tracking accuracy. It is for navigating.

On a two-way road, this is often impractical. Driving both directions is the best way, but experienced mappers can often tell even with a single track.
sandmanz wrote:Driving very2 slowly?

20-30 km/h is about the optimum, but be mindful not to annoy other road users.
sandmanz wrote:Repeat the same tracks several times?

Possible, but not too often; think of the petrol used.

Of course, that's the ideal, but it's not always attainable.

This was my first time trying out the 1sec tracking. I followed everything in this thread but was unable to convert the file using Wnutrak software. Wonder if anybody can help me out.

(Tried posting the screen capture here but don't know how instead I'll just have to attach the pics). Thanks

Have you checked whether there is actually GPS.BIN within the folder?

Thanks Zeus73....finally managed to convert the files. I was looking in the wrong folder. That was just a test so my next project would be to track the roads and submit it here. Thanks again everyone...you've made me a happy camper =D> =D> =D>

Guys...I've tried to do some trackings the other day, but somehow when I sent the tracks to view in Mapsource, the tracks came out multiple track logs.

Meaning I went in the unmapped roads.....stopped the tracking when I reached the end of the road but came out in mapsource as if I tracked in and out. Well as they say picture is worth a thousand words. So here is the display. Can somebody help me out here? Anyway I'm using a Nuvi 205W. Thanks.

Better to leave tracklogging on until you finish the whole area.

Please provide GDB too, as it might add a few more words to the thousands.

If I were to do that, would it not record my every movement? Let's say in this case the roads which I wanted to track is a dead end road.

I go in, reached the dead end, reversed my car to get out of that road.......wouldn't it come out as what my picture depicted? :-?

Doesn't matter whether tracklogging includes existing GPS roads. BTW, where's your GPX/GDB, seems like your tracklog was not recorded at 1sec intervals.
