My Mapsource Registry Script, when i open it.. It is just an empty notepad file.. Can someone help me?? Thanks..

I uncheck the hide extensions for known files already..

I alslo did run>regedit> Import..

But it still does not work... Anyone can help me?

The easiest way to Install Garmin Mapsource.... An Idiot can do it in Seconds!!! :mrgreen: :peace:

here's how....
- Make a folder in C Drive called Garmin (C:\Garmin)
- Copy a file (any file will do, size doesn't matter too) into this C:\Garmin folder
- rename the copied file to Mapsource.exe
- Run the Garmin installer
- Follow the onscreen instructions to install Mapsource
- Install a MfM map (note: Mapsource will not start unless there is at least one map installed)
- Done

:) Hallo..

i'm very new here and i can't seem to understand,what is MapSource everyone is talking about?

is it a certain software? i just bought my 255W yesterday & were browsing thru the quick guide..

i looked in the installer cd given but could'nt find anything related to mapsource.. Why do we need to

open a mapsource folder? errr.. i'd be grateful if anyone can clear this info.. Many thanks
