How to contribute POIs & Tracks using Garmin Mapsource

Hi, I'm still new in GPS, in fact just 2 days use the Garmin appp. I try to use Receive from Device, after I get press "ok" in Transfer Complete dialog box, I get error message

"some maps could not be opened because the following mapsource products are not installed MFM POI V1.36"

What this means? Shouls I install MFM POI V1.36? Where can I get MFM POI V1.36?

You don't need tick map when receive from Device.

I am a newbie with (almost) zero knowledge about GPs software. I know how to use and the rest is transparent to me. Hope I can contribute something to this website and at the sametime learn new skills.
I currently own a nuvi 680.
How do I contribute to POI, track etc using my nuvi. Thank you.

Uncle, if you want to collect and contribute massage centre POIs, please upload your gdb file. If not, your question has nothing to do with "How to contribute POIs & Track by using Garmin Mapsource". Please make postings that are relevant to the title.

Hi all I was wondering if there is any way for me to contribute using a Mac? To my understanding Mapsource is a Windows based software right?

If the Mac can, you might want to contribute your tracks and POIs in GPX format. Otherwise, your POIs in csv format. The only Apple I've ever used was the Apple II. What..?

i juz click receive from device(sd card)
"IN WHAT TO RECEIVE.."
i click on maps,routes,waypoints and tracks
then i click receive..
after that it show "the data was successfully received..
but after i click ok it showed "some maps could not be opened bcoz the following Mapsource products are not installed.."MFM POIv1.53 & MFM Road v1.53"
why this happened??
mind tell me what do i did wrong??

Just check Waypoints and Tracks. Uncheck others.

done that already but it show "The selected device has no waypoints or tracks on it...

Bro, you need to supply for info...

Are you using a Garmin device, PDA or mobile phone?

What info are you trying to send to Mapsource from you device?

Thank you! I have a few (3) tracks to add and location change for the NPP around Dakota Crescent. I don't know how to attach picture to my post. Therefore I have attached the gdb file with free hand drawn tracks and (only have) police badge instead of police car.

1) From Old Airport Road into Jln Dua
2) From Old Airport Road into Blk 60 carpark
3) From Old Airport Road into Blk 62 carpark
4) Change the location of Npp



I will try to get the track log for the new tracks (Is this necessary since no road beside?)

Will update soon.

Please comment if I got any part wrong.
