First of all, you should know that GMXT records less accurate track logs because it cannot record at 1 sec intervals which is the track log's setting most preferred by mappers. Moreover, depending on mappers and areas, some less accurate track logs may be considered useful and some are not. So I'd advise you to check with the mapper first whether the track logs would be usable before embarking on your tracking assignment.

Having said that, the most important settings in GMXT for track logging are the frequency of the points recording, and disabling Lock-on-Road. The settings can be found at:

1. Tools > Manage My Data > Tracks > Options:
  1. Recording Mode > Stop When Full.
  2. Recording Interval > Most Often.
  3. Show Active Track on Map > Enabled.

2. Tools > Settings > Map > Show Location > At GPS Location.

After you have finished tracking, the the track log can be retrieved using Mapsource while having the WM device synchronized with your PC.

If GPS Sport Tracker records at more frequent intervals (than GMXT), then you should track using it.

I never use GPS Sport Tracker.
However I believe to know time interval, export your track and open in MapSource, and look at the time interval.

Here the sample using Nokia Sport Tracker.
Please notice the interval, it has 1 sec intervals.

OK, one more thing, if let say if the POI is relocated to a new place, how to delete the existing POI in MapSource and relocate to new place?

just to know something and to make sure i didnt do something that waste my time .

i usually travel a lot..so in my travel i always see many shop alongside the road but in the latest map didnt have that shop...i can only see popular shop such as KFC , McD or Bank while the other shop such as Kedai Jahit Aminah or Pusat Servis Kereta Ah Kiong didnt appear in the map eventhough that shop is beside KFC . So i wanna ask all 'otai' here , is it we only need popular shop while other shop not necessary to contribute ? :-? :-?

IMHO, if you think that the POI is important enough for other people to want to know where/what it is, then, yes. This is especially true for smaller towns and kampungs where we need good landmarks or POIs. It is up to the mapper to decide whether it is good enough to be included in the map.
