I'm not sure if anyone has tried and is also encountering this.
From Queenstown and Tiong Bahru (tried it from these 2 starting points, both getting same results), I keyed in "Robertson Quay" as my destination point. GPS will somehow direct me thru a long route via Stevens Rd, then PIE, then BKE, then Bukit Timah Rd, etc... Obviously, this is wrong, but I've updated to the latest map today and it's still reflecting this.
I'm using a Garmin Nuvi 205W:
Route preference: Faster time
Avoidances Enabled for: Ferries, Carpool Lanes, Unpaved Roads
Thanks for all your feedback.

Re: Issue with route given by GPS
Please beware not to choose Robertson Quay "trail" as your destination.
After select Robertson Quay, make sure it is a road by selecting the map view to confirm.

Re: Issue with route given by GPS
I just used my MFM in Singapore (after flying there) for the first time last week and ran into a huge problem!
Every time I tried to select a destination, the gps would calculate a route that went from my present position (say Changi) to my destination (say Jurung) VIA Malaysia! It would always calculate up to a point on the causeway and then back down to the destination! Needless to say this made MFM unusable. I had MSM preloaded on the GPS as I had just bought it recently and that was able to route correctly.
Anyone know what I did wrong? It is a new version of MFM - April I think.
One other question while I am thinking about it - in KL I go through the tunnel near the Curve and lose GPS just before the end of the tunnel each time. But in Singapore I could go through really long tunnels and it never lost lock once. Actually looking at the gps page of the Garmin I could see not locked onto any satellites at all but still updating the position & speed properly. It didn't appear to be dead reckoning (calculating) as it showed my speed changes. Is there some sort of technology in the tunnels that allows the gps to work? I was glad it did - told me which exit to take every time.

Did you deselect MSM while using MFM? Route by using 2 maps in the same area might cause some weired routing.

Re: Issue with route given by GPS
I think I did, but can't be 100% sure. Normally while I am in KL I have the Garmin map and the MSM maps disabled and only use MFM so I am pretty sure that I would have been using it in this mode when I got in the rental car at Changi.

Are you able to do a simulation & print screen for me?

Re: Issue with route given by GPS
Bro Ong .... I don't have problem with Nuvis but I recently noticed that I am having problems with my 60CSx and 62s. I noticed that when I route from Vivocity in Singapore to Giant Supermarket in Plentong, Johor, my 62s will route me to the Second Link and then along Pasir Gudang Highway to the Giant Supermarket. The distance is 73+ km despite the setting being the shortest distance. Today I tried the 60CSx. Same thing. It will route me to the Second Link which is ridiculous. The shorter route shown on my Nuvi 205W and 3790t is 43 km. Not sure if it is the GPS or the MFM map. I don't recall having such problem previously with my 60CSx. Will check further.

MapSource simulation works properly - I will try it on my GPS when I get it out of my car tomorrow.

Newer Garmin Firmware includes ability to route based on your routing, based on last speed and direction of travel.
Re: Issue with route given by GPS
While I was in the tunnel I changed speed from 80km/h to 60km/h and the GPS changed speed to reflect my actual speed. Unless there is some sort of accelerometer in the GPS I can't really see how it would do that without some sort of external transmission. My GPS is a Garmin 1460.
