This is actually my second unit. The first had LCD problems. EG had graciously gave me a new one for exchange.

Never have any problem with my unit. Except last week when there is some worldwide problem with the MTK chipset when the satellite send out wrong info. Got my unit firmware upgraded at EastGear. The firmware upgrade posted on the website doesnt work. What hardware are you using, Z-880 ?

I think there's no firmware issue here. EG confirmed it. I tried simulation with SLA map. Result was BKE-PIE-Eunos exit.
I tried simulation using MFM latest version map (090630) I get that same :fire: :x result.
So I think it is the mfm map.

Tested with the mfm X2 090618 (beta) for Papago Z880. Result was perfect.
ICQ JB -Woodlands CIQ-BKE-PIE-Eunos exit.

So why change the al logarithm for routing, bro antyong :ko: :ko: :ko:
The new map might be suitable for Holux but not Papago Z880. Since you said that the firmware/software between the two brands are different.

I am facing the same problem as you previously, but after Eastgear reloaded the software for me last Saturday, the problem has been somewhat solved. I still believe is software issue and not the map issue. :-k

The route showed on the my Z880 using MFM 090630 is correct
BKE -> PIE -> Exit 9 Jalan Eunos/ Eunos Link

Perhaps bro antyong can shed some light on why the Papago Map needs so much tweaking. After all, the map already worked so well with Garmin.

Bro, Can you check on your software, and tell what version you have in the Z880? It's not the map that I'm referring to. :tq:

We accumulated years of experience tweaking Garmin. The quality of our Garmin map does not materialize out of a sudden.

Papago uses a completely different routing parameter. You can consider it as converting apples to oranges. I need to learn the best way to convert our Garmin routing data to Papago. Finetuning Papago routing is a process that will take time and feedback. Hence your feedback is very important.

The version number is still the same after the upgrade. I think they decided not to update the version number for this minor fix, so you should not depend on the version number, just get them to update the software, you will see the difference. :D

Now I understand. The effort put in must be huge. :good:
But I can see that the map is improving by the day.
Thanks for the great effort. :tq:
