There's another seafood restaurant in Pantai Cenang, called Orkid Ria. Did not save the coordinates, but location should be registered in the POI. Anyway, Pantai Cenang is a one happening place.

Lot's of foreigner..especially Arabs now..better book your place early..

Hi Feiming,

Actually you can rent a car at the airport. Its legal and quite reasonable. The price range is around RM70/= to RM80/=) per day for a Nissan Sentra 1.5 sedan. You can try to bargain with them if you are staying longer. Don't worry the competition is great that they will take your offer. Pls remember to pump some petrol before you leave the airport area becos petrol stations are few. Check your GPS for the nearest station

Best of Luck,
astroace

Bros,

some tips when renting a vehicle in Langkawi:

if you want to rent a car/van, on top of the road tax sticker, please ensure that there's another sticker (hexagon shape), white color from JPJ/Puspakom sticked next to the road tax sticker at the windscreen. This sticker assures that the vehicle is legal for rental and is insured for public use. You might need to ask the agent before you settle anything.

When I went last week, we rented a nissan serena, quite cheap, however we only realized that it is illegal for rental until we were caught by the RTD officer in disguise. Although no summons were issued to us, but they took down our particulars to help them for investigation. However, we were furious to know that the vehicle is not insured for public use.

Therefore, if the price is cheaper than the display rate, please make sure to ask, however, if you already know that the vehicle doesn't have the rental permit and you're willing to rent it because it is cheap, then the risk is yours.
