They too introduced me to the world of rafflesia which I did hiked up near post lojing in Gua musang but via the help from an agent in Tanah Rata.. :oops:

stimix,

I did write to Pak Din about the occurrence of Rafflesia in Negeri Sembilan and Selangor. He informed me that
there were none. It shocked me. I believe there are no more Terastigma vines left in these states, meaning no Rafflesia.
So sad. The second time was about getting the Rafflesia T shirt from him. Again the answer is no, no more stock.

About Nuriana, I did read her blogs. As far as Pak Din and Nuriana , I never had the opportunity to meet them personally.
Pak Din is a world renowned Rafflesia expert. Me. I am just a part time jungle nomad. I go into the jungles when I got this unnatural unexplainable primordial urge .

There's also Rafflelesia in the Temenggor lake area in Northern Perak. Accessibility is very limited unless you have a guide that have a boat.

3D2N - stayed in Pulau Tikus, a rat shape island with very basic amenities (N5 41.479 E101 20.89). Most of the activities are done with boat rides along the man made lake, going from seeing these giant flowers, wild bee hives, elephant salt lick, natural hot spring, hornbill watching, Negrito village visitation, dam visit, caves.
