i reckon since i can drive all the way from JB to Ulu Tiram, i might as well take Kota Tinggi Road and bypass the single lane Cahaya-Penawar section altogether WHEN they start charging us... even now, return trip RM9.40, also quite pissed off due to the single lane thing...

i think the jams at the toll is a result of stupid design of the toll area. as for the jam when i was heading back, mainly from bridge to pulau juling to kong kong, its because everyone need to merge from 2 lanes on bridge into a single lane, then most pple dun give way. and when there's a single hogger on the single lane road, everyone gotta slow down

toll not chargable yet right?

i think i need to check it out myself during the FOC period.

about 2 weeks ago, we tried via Pasir Gudang direction and the road leading to Desaru was sealed off, so we paid the toll there and return to Carrefour..

The toll free section (for a month) is only from Cahaya to Penawar. It make sense since only that section is new. One have to find the entry at Cahaya to enjoy the free toll. ](*,) If coming from Ulu Tiram might as well pay the toll and go all the way to Penawar. :D

Watch it if you are driving along there at night. there are pot holes showing up all over the highway. some look to be as deep as 5-10cm and at least 30cm across...cant see them suckers when it is raining and they fill up... :frus:

This is the exact highway that crops up in the Auditor General's report  . The claims as above should be valid as well as other claims that was written by someone else somewhere.
