A road trip to Ipoh

Postby gpsnerd » Mon Aug 22, 2011 2:02 pm

Hi, i am planning to depart to Telok Intan / Sitiawan this weekend, 27th or 28th August
taking a risk that traffic maybe heavy as its the raya weekend.

1. where the the nice rest stops to go while on NSH? I do not fancy the R&Rs food, less the KFC and A&Ws.

2. when we exit a toll and continue from the journey there after, the total toll rates are the same?
meaning i enter skudai, exit seremban, and later enter seremban again all the way till bidor, are the rates the
same if i start from skudai and all the way to bidor exit?

3. how many official public holidays will there be as raya and national day runs one day after another?, less the one week, school holiday?

PLUS website has a toll fare calculator which can assist you in this regard... http://www.plus.com.my.

School holiday for the whole of next week. Tuesday to Thursday are public holidays, subject to confirmation on 29 Aug after sighting of Syawal moon. http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?fi ... sec=nation

Yeah, I also find the Pun Chun stuff so so only. However, I really like the Bidor type of chicken biscuit (crispy type, unlike the CB type). It is sold a few shops away from Pun Chun (same row of shophouse).
