4. Takah Tinggi (N2.45347 E103.23768)

location : endau rompin national park - selai, johor, malaysia
elevation : 232m
height : +/- 40m (main fall)
access : 4wd recommended, jungle trekking
difficulty : long hour jungle trekking needed, leeches found, slippery terrain after rain fall
distance : +/- 2.9km from lubok tapah campsite (about 3 hour trekking for me)
guide : compulsory
fee : national park entrance fee, local guide fee, camping fee, insurance, vechicle permit (if drive own car)

Takah Tinggi also name as Takah Tujuh, because it has 7 main tiers. This is the main attraction in Endau Rompin (Selai) Park. Tourists are not allowed to swim at the pool here because of the swift-flowing and under current. Heard from the guide, there was a fatal accident before. A tourist insisted to swim in the pool and nearly drown. The guide was sacrificed himself to save the drowning tourist.

The trail lead to the fall is along the Sungai Selai. and will cross Sungai Tempaang. The trail can be very slippery after the rain. For the time we visited the fall, only the 7th tier is opened for tourist. Quite sad we can't visit all tier at the moment. There's no proper trail to the 6 upper tiers, and it's too dangerous for tourist.

5. Takah Berangin (N2.44297 E103.23497)

location : endau rompin national park - selai, johor, malaysia
elevation : 185m
access : 4wd recommended, jungle trekking
difficulty : jungle trekking needed, steep hill climbing, lots of leeches found
distance : +/- 2.4km from lubok tapah campsite (about 2 hour trekking for me)
guide : compulsory
fee : national park entrance fee, local guide fee, camping fee, insurance, vechicle permit (if drive own car)

This our third day & also the last day at Endau Rompin NP, The terrain to this fall is harder than other waterfall trek. It require us to trek up a steep hill. ropes are available as it's slippery at some difficult part. Along the trek, our guide was using his parang to clear the trail. Can see that, this is the less visit waterfall among the falls here. After the 2 hours "how far to go", "are we there yet", "LEECH!!!" crying..., we finally reached this breathtaking fall. The water just drop from 90 degree vertical wall. And a wide, not so deep pool is a reward for us after the tough trekking.

we had fun time here

Takah Selow is seperated to Takah Selow 1, 2, 3. The fall is quite small and less impressive if compare to the big brothers here. It can be visited on the way to Takah Pandan.

7. Cemperoh Fall (N03.28141 E101.88726)

location : Kampung Janda Baik, Pahang, Malaysia. (on the slope of Gunung Nuang)
elevation : 768m
height :
access : jungle trekking
distance : +/- 3.4km from main road.
guide : someone experience recommended.
fee : nil.

The fall is hidding deep inside the jungle, which can be visited on the way hike up to Gunung Nuang via Kpg. Janda Baik. This can't say an easy trail. We passed thru lots of the vegetable farms. It's open & hot under a bright sunny day, plus it's uphill... After went in the shady jungle trail, don't assume it's time can relax : the host, tiger leeches are welcoming us now. :ko: Lots of obstacles (fallen bamboos and trunks) need us to climb over or crawl underneath. After the torturing, the beautiful fall (plus lot of scratches on our body..) is the reward of the day.

8. Air Terjun Ayer Puteh Junjong (N5.27655 E100.56402)

location : Junjong, Kulim, Kedah, Malaysia
elevation :
height :
access : easy park walkking
distance : +/- 4.8km from junjong town
guide : nope
fee : parking fee RM2.00/car

Got the info of this fall from my dearest father, so decide went there with my brother to cooling down our sticky body, after the Nibong Tebal MTB jamboree ride with Larry.

This interesting fall is located at Taman Rekreasi Air Terjun Ayer Puteh Junjong, somebody call it Air Terjun Junjong. It has 4 or more cascades with individual pool. Just like other overcrowded waterfall park, it jammed with picnickers during the weekend afternnon. As usual, the lower pools water won't be clear. So we followed the path and climbed up to the upper pool, then dipped ourselves in.

location : Behrang Ulu, Perak (slope of G. Behrang)
elevation : 358m
height :
access : jungle trekking
distance : +/- 3km from car park, Diamond Creek Resort.
guide : someone experience recommended

Welcome to leechy land. This fall is still unknown for the public and even most of the local. To reach the fall, you need to pass thru oil palm plantation and using a vague jungle trail.

Hi snail-works,

Thanks for the wonderful photos on the waterfall.

There is a place near Behrang Ulu or Ulu Slim, the road from proton Proton plant by the name of Sungai Bil. There is a nice water fall about 2 - 3Km from the main road. Check it out. Hope you could find it. Good luck

Check with the local at Behrang Ulu or Ulu Slim. Sorry no coordinates???  \:D/ \:D/
