21. Tigor Waterfall

location : Pos Gedung, Tapah, Perak.
coordinate : N04.17255 E101.42080
elevation : 715m
height :
access : 4wd to Pos Gedung, 6 hours whole journey of jungle trekking plus river trekking.
water source : Sungai Tigor.
distance : +/-7km from Pos Gedung.
guide : recommend to hire orang asli as guide.
fee : guide fee.

After the Pos Dipang waterfalls, we continue our journey to Pos Gedung, a orang asli village which entered from Bidor. We decided to pitch camp when we reached the last river crossing before Pos Gedung, as the day had became dark.

Nextday, wake up in the very early morning. Hmnnn the air is refreshing. We quickly had the breakfast, pack up and continued our crazy 14km trekking journey.

The last rivercrosing to Pos Gedung village.
Image

The Pos Gedung village are equiped with the basic facilities, at least has electricity. We asked the villagers for the info of Tigor fall, and finally we hired a father and son as our guide.
Image

We passed thru the rubber plantation then come to ex-lodging track, here comes the tough part, trek up the steep slope to sea level more than 700m. Our guides don't feel any tired while three of us are start to huff and puff...

Our guide were sitting beside my guy friend.
Image

Now we reached the river trekking part.
Image

Lots of obstacle like boulders, fallen trunks and bamboo are waiting to test our body flexibility and endurance.

this is a small unknown fall found on the way.
Image

Finally, we saw our destination behind the dense foliage after 3 hours trekking. Yahoo... :peace:
Image

From the human figure, can roughly estimate the size of Tigor Fall.
Image

The fullview of Tigor fall from far.
Image

We had a group photo with our dear guides happily.
Image

We took another 3 hours walked back to Pos Gedung village. Total trekking distance is about 14km.

Beautiful pictures..  say, did you touch up a bit on the water? Seems so unreal!!

Anyway, hope you could try Sungai Sedim Waterfall (N5 24.789 E100 46.837). Just got back from there for white water rafting. Water level a bit low due to dry season.

:tq: :good: :rox:

22. Batu Berangkai Fall
location : Kampar, Perak.
coordinate : N4.30781 E101.16887
profile : river waterfall,
elevation : 136m
height :
access : park walking.
pool : deep swimming pool.
guide : nope.
fee : nope.

Batu Berangkai fall is located near Kampar, Perak. Because it is one of the easy access fall, it's crowded during the afternoon or holiday.

The day we visited the fall is after rain, so not many people there. The water level had raised, milky and dangerous to bath at that moment.

This sighboard is placed after the drown accident of 3 UTAR students. Take care when you picnic or bath at waterfall area.
