12. Kipungit Fall (N06.05145 E116.70119)

location : Poring Hot Spring area (Kinabalu National Park), Sabah, Malaysia
elevation : 560m
height : +/- 10m
access : park walking.
distance : +/- 1km from Poring Hot Spring Park, 15 mins walking time (Poring Hot Spring is 13 kilometres from Ranau, or about 40 kilometres from the Kinabalu National Park)
guide : nope.
fee : park entrance fee RM4.00/pax (free for the visitor have Kinabalu Park climbing permit).

Hikers usually will stay 1 day at Poring hot Spring to relax their tired muscle after challenge the Mount Kota Kinabalu. Beside the hot spring and other attractions in the park, there's 2 falls around the area for those still feel not enough trekking  : Kipungit fall and Langanan fall (+/- 120m height, highest fall in Poring).

Kipungit fall is nice place for family picnic and accessible to all age group. The stream water is clear and cold.

To visit Langanan fall, i need about 4 hours to go and back (distance 3.4km). Cause lack of time, i forced to turn back although it just another 500m to reach the fall :fire:  Langanan Fall, i'll be back.... =P~

Also known as Panching Fall among locals. A scenic fall which looks like a man-made themepark. Look at the water level , it just cover the feet although the water dropping looks quite strong. Super crowded during Raya Holiday.

17. Bukit Jana Waterfall (N01.89670 E100.75243)

location : Kampung Bukit Jana, Kamunting, Perak.
elevation : 540m
height : +/-1.5m
access : easy park walking.
distance : +/-2.1km from road A4.
pool / campsite : shalow swiming pool at the main fall.
guide : nope.
fee : nope.

Basically this is a baby size fall. Known among the locals, hot picnic spot during weekends. Saw malay boys jump happily inside the pool near the main fall. According to the locals, there's no other fall at upstream, just rapids. Worth to give the little fall a visit during hot day, if you're around the area.

18. Mount Elvira Fall (N5 23.922 E100 15.151)

location : Mount Elvira, Air Itam Dam, Penang.
access : park walking.
water source : unknown
distance : +/-2.5km from Air Itam Dam carpark.
pool / campsite : nope.
guide : nope.
fee : nope.

Back to hometown for the 3 days holiday. My mom told me that it had rained continuosly for the last few days, but surprisingly the 3 days are very bright sunny weather. Make me feel wanna dance!!! 8-)

Here's the small fall around Ayer Itam Dam, Penang : Mt. Elvira Fall. Found it in the MFM map. Actually it's very easy access fall, the killing part is the long uphill walking. If you have motorbike, you can ride all the way there. The fall is located at the road side, hiding under the shade. No obvious trail, need to tak some effort to go near the fall.

Sad that the place had been polluted lightly by human rubbish.

Good weather in monsoon season.
