not sure of the rate now. When I was there Perdana was about RM. 100 per day. Also depending on your confort level i.e. what you intend to pay, how many people, what type of vehicle (salon car, MPV, SUV, 4wd) all at different cost.

I will ask my contact in langkawi for an up-dated price list and will post here once I get it.

Rough idea of car rental rate in langkawi..Below price is after nego kaw-kaw...as the rack rate is double the followings:

1) Kancil - RM40
2) Wira - RM50
3) Waja - RM60
4) Nissan Sentra (Sunny) /honda Civic/Perdana - RM70
5) Altis - RM80

just back from langkawi on 31/10...was there for 3d2n...
the nuvi 255w with last week map, works wonder and very helpful during my stay there...
i hv used it to travel all 4 corners of the island with a rented myvi from the airport for rm160...

I juz came back from a 3 days stay in Langkawi.... MFM maps covered almost everything liao.... has been raining everyday.... rented a Myvi from the airport for RM90.....

I am going to Langkawi next week and will be bringing my Nuvi to help me move around the island. I have already downloaded the latest mapset and I am sure that the POIs are more than adequate to keep me occupied. But I would really appreciate recommendations from you guys on good eating places. The sheer number of food POIs can sometimes overwhelmed you! :frus: Thanks!
