Overland trip to Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam & Laos Nov, Dec

Postby Samurai » Wed Oct 07, 2009 9:48 am

Hi everyone I will be joining a group to Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam & Laos this November 09 (16days). Wold appreciate it very much if anyone has access to Free Maps of Cambodia, Laos & Vietnam. What we have is the Laos Viet R5 which may have been outdated. The Camb maps that we have is also questionable on its accuracy. For those who wants to join in there are a few places more available. Just PM me or e-mail me at dahalana@gmail.com. It is a "Gotong Royong" or do it together kind of trip. This is our 3rd which we call the Mekong 3 Overland Trip.

I will also to do the Tracks for Thailand and contribute them to MFM.

Hi CFLai, Any tips on the route?
We did the northern part last year using the R4. Had to depend on the guide most of the way. Its like driving blindfold.
Next year plan has already been started. It will be Southern China.

Bro Samurai

Last year we did the trip from central to south Vietnam and then to Cambodia & Laos...

Download the complete track of our trip from here....

I have checked ASIAGPS' latest Laos/Vietnam/Cambodia ver R5 map - it is a vast improvement over R4 which I used last year .....
