I have been in KK many years ago. Now going again for holiday but i believe a lot places total changing and many new place build up, any MFM's friend can recommend me palce to stay service apartment budget RM100- RMN130 (3 room)
and any good suggestion place for visit? i will stay there only 4 days 3 nights
1.) city visit and seafood
2.) island hoping
3.) kundasan / mt kinabalu/ ranau all the way up

try the "scooter scuba" at manukan island. seems like fun if you like snorkelling and/or scuba diving. it was featured on TV last week too...you don't need to know how to swim or dive to partake this activity - unless you're afraid of water. have fun

I will be going to KK, then North sabah this school holiday with family (17-20th March). I am also looking for budget accomodation in KK
Will share any information i find. And be sure also to use latest MFM before u leave, bcos another hidden agenda in KK is to check & make correction (if any) the routing, etc

to get cheap accomodation, try checkin out this link: http://www.hostelworld.com ... besides backpackers' lodge, there are also private room provided, and some are even as luxury as living in a decent hotel... really worth it! not just in KK, but also other places worldwide..

sure u can still book hotel during school holiday? normally need to book few months before

Bro, just came back from 4 day trip to Sabah, including KK. Remember to download latest MFM map before u leave, I have lots of updates.

I stayed at Cititel Express, room RM160. School holidays most hotel in city area up their fares. (U can also try Tune hotel at 1Borneo, if lucky). Then I changed to Aristo Hotel, cheap! RM64 per room. Its quite new hotel, located in Putatan area (not far from airport), nearby food. U need a car to go around KK

Kinabalu Park is already in the map. Bring more POI. Ranau town, use MFM map, better routing bcos I stayed 1 day in that town and I drew the map when I was in Ranau

4 beds/room - RM98. another ANG's HOTEL - RM85.10 2 queen bed

Now i planning go to Manantanani island watch "dugong" but i can't get any more information how to go there without sign up package with travel agent.

As i know, From KK to Kota belud - around 1 hour then take speedboat 1 hour.

Any member stay near to Kota belud can advice me how buy ticket or book for the speedboat??

Kota Belud? I had many updates for Kota Belud. I Just went tracking there. I found the Jetty to Mantanani island, its along Jalan Kuala Abai (nearby POI already in MFM is Kem PLKN sinar Jaya), but i didnt find where to buy/book ticket tho (tracking in the middle of the nite, couldnt see much). I already add the jetty POI. but the map will only be released next monday.
