Hi Guys & Gals,
Appreciate if anyone knows and could provide contacts of affordable & reliable car rental in Kota Kinabalu? Intend to have a self-drive holiday there end-sept/oct.
Suggestions most welcomed.
Thank you in advance!

Would you have their number? Need to check costs for comparison & budgeting purposes.
Thanks!

I just returned from a 5 day trip to KK. I recommend that you stay at the Le Meridien Hotel and rent a car from the hotel. I rented a Perodua Myvi 1.3 auto at RM$170 per day excluding insurance. The Myvi was able to climb mountains with ease and also overtake trucks uphill without any problems.

Thanks for all your suggestions guys. I managed to get someone who cld rent me a Toyota Unser for RM250 a day. Will be travelling around Kinabalu Park/Ranau/Mesilau before doing a KK-Tip of Borneo/Kudat run before heading back. Will mark POIs and collect tracks as usual.
Cheers all!
