:)

This was snapped from the patio outside a Rooftop Restaurant we dined by The Bund, Shanghai. Taken with a Lumix DMC-FX07 on Auto mode.

 With tiny (natural) mishaps occasionally...

Here's another unique moment.... we had this peaceful, breathtaking spacious stroll to ourselves.

Another one in a thousand years good luck encounter... that mysterious donkey showing up within the silent walls when we went there!!!

...but no further than this restriction and manned by a Red Guard standing behind me while taking this snap. :finga:

This was the great wall we went to, The Mutianyu Wall.

Abbey Road in Beijing  Next to Tienanmen Square :-$

Some trivia over the Temple of Heaven and surrounding.

Now I'd wish I had Moey's Nikon on this close up for the details whilst looking in and upward on those intricate scripts and writings inside this heavenly temple....

One can't miss this huge marble slab with a history depicting this Temple's history & purpose.

Thanks guys for sharing all these great pics...

Bro cruiser, We were at the Badarling Great Wall. Will post more here when I'm done sorting all my pics.

The Ginkgo Tree with its fruits in full blossom... inset the intensely smelly Ginkgo nuts. Touch it and you'll regret.

The Chinese Sky Bridge built hundreds of years ago... Who copy who?

All deep in prayers... for a Merry Christmas? :) .... Note the Persimmon Tree in the back ground with its fruits ripe and plentiful.

Inside the Bird's Nest is a winter wonderland transformed... with 'Disney' like atmosphere..

The Water Cube is not accessible to non paying visitors. It is now a water theme park.

Happy New Year!

Brudder Moey, did you not enter the Cube? Any Ice Kachang =P~ available inside btw if you did? We skipped Chengdu by chance & through good fortune actually. :prayer:

We rerouted our itinerary at last minute during b/f at Beijing Sheraton and flew out back to Shanghai instead and upon arrival, headed into the center by Dragon Plain to have a feasty Dim Sum which was when we realized, the 1st horrific round of the earthquake took place... in Chengdu itself and we were planning to head for the Panda sanctuary as the 1st visit on day of arrival... Bro cruiser,

Ice Kachang in winter.... good for you. The Water Cube is a water theme park now. We did not enter. Our tour did not include Chengdu but we did go to Chengde an even colder place than Beijing. The Trishaw ride was quick and short... no chance to walk around but, our Trishaw man did give a brief history of the places we past.

Here they are... ready to go.

cruiser wrote:It is amazing indeed at how the pedestrian malls are looking rather clean from the usual litter image we have on many China towns & side streets....

Try comparing this scene with the Geylang scenario with the rise of China Girls swarming there for a different future in Singapore...

I was in Shanghai too and found many stretches to be well maintained from litter debris and with the surplus of folks swarming from the countryside, any little odd job is still contributing to all jobs available and little unemployment noticed... however, they are also becoming selective and choosy with menial jobs left over like street sweeping being the last on the choice list!!!... :frus:

perhaps you will be shot if you litter.. kkekekekekek..
