Bro rain_gifts,
Thanks for sharing. You are lucky to have an empty train... ours was packed to the brim! The top speed on our trip is only 330Km/h but my Nuvi recorded it as 316Km/h.
Here are more pictures...
The Panda Bear. The national treasure of China
The High speed maglev train from Beijing to TianJin
The Nuvi 300 speedometer tells it all

The unique feature of the traffic lights in TianJin is their shape and functions. There are only one big rectangular light form. It is separated into 3 compartments. For Red lights the bottom 2 square will slowly turn Off at its bottomest row of lights until it reaches the last top square where the Green lights will turn On. The top most row of Green lights will start to turn Off (countdown) a single row at a time until the last square of green light is left and the Amber light is turned On and followed by Red.. the cycles repeat itself.
The Famous Food court in TianJin
Don't know what Tower on the way back from Tianjin to Beijin... majestic... as good looking as the KL Tower.
more to come...

Great pics brudder Moey and also from Rain_gifts... what luvly shots taken and all on Auto mode?.... impressive!!!
So, this is where U actually R I assume... I always end up in MSM forum by default...hmmm
Did you get the chance to hop out of yr trishaw ride in that monumental Hutong district of Beijing and step into any of the local courtyard residence to view their traditional living quarters?
Which Wall was that which you strolled along on? You are among plenty of Chinese "tourists" on that stretch of Wall apparently... Looking forward to see more among your thousand snaps...

It is amazing indeed at how the pedestrian malls are looking rather clean from the usual litter image we have on many China towns & side streets....
Try comparing this scene with the Geylang scenario with the rise of China Girls swarming there for a different future in Singapore...
I was in Shanghai too and found many stretches to be well maintained from litter debris and with the surplus of folks swarming from the countryside, any little odd job is still contributing to all jobs available and little unemployment noticed... however, they are also becoming selective and choosy with menial jobs left over like street sweeping being the last on the choice list!!!...
