Please help

i need to update my garmin nuvi 200 map for malaysia/singapore/brunei, and also for thailand, & lastly australia.
can anyone help.
how to detect map install in the SD card?i tried so many times & failed to detect the maps.

You can get the latest mfm map (installer) here: viewtopic.php?f=46&t=8442. It has extensive coverage on Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei, and bits on Thailand.

For installation on the SD card, you need to create a 'Garmin' folder (e.g. x:/Garmin), then move/copy the gmapsupp.img file in that folder. (i.e. x:/Garmin/gmapsupp.img). The .img file is created by the installer.

how about if i want to install new maps of different countries but the file name: "gmapsupp.img" has similar name.
how to i overcome this issue?

The nuvi 200 can only read filename 'gmapsupp.img'. The easiest solution is to have one SD card for each map. You just need to slot in whichever SDcard with your preferred map.

If you have access to a PC, then you can have many maps (eg. mfm.img, australia.img, uk.img) in one SDcard. You can copy-n-paste your desired map in the SDcard, then rename it to gmapsupp.img.
