If you're updating to v5.00.50, go to root directory of data card, and try installing "GarminMobileXT.sis". You did update it with the latest v5.00.50 symbian version, didn't you?

my version in my e71 is 5.00.30 and i had save the link above into my e71 but now cannot open already

can u direct me how to go to root directory to install?

First you need to run the installer in PC, point the installation onto E71's data card.

Disconnnect E71 from PC, then in E71 go to File Explorer, browse to storage card, and run "GarminMobileXT.sis". This should re-install GMXT.

You're welcome. For global release, that's currently the latest version for S60 device. MFM maps should show traffic light icons and all custom icons, just make sure Map Detail settings is set to Most.

hi, i also new here but Mapper here did assist me to update my garmin in e71. you just have to download above link into your pc and connect with your e71 then save into your SD card and run it. that all. just sharing as i success to update it.

currently im using GMXT 5.00.50 and what is MAP MFM 1.61? is it come with GMXT 5.00.50 or i need to manually install it? please advice. thanks

GMXT installation files does not include any maps. MFM map is the acronym of Malfreemaps map, and refers to the free Malaysia/Singapore detailed map available here in this forum. Currently, for Garmin devices/softwares, latest version is v1.62 and it's updated every week. =P~
