Re: Is there a version of Papago that works with Galaxy Tab?
No, it runs only on Portrait on my Tab.
The version I had was not designed to run on Tab so some tweaking is required on the resolution. Hmmm... maybe it can be fooled into running at landscape? Will try tonight.
This is the first time I have used Papago and I must say I am very impressed with the overall design. Although I would have wished for the following :
1) Zooming using the "pinching" method. RIght now it is using the [+] and [-] button.
2) More maps available. Unlike Garmin, there are so many community maps out there. For Papago, I only have our dearest MFM. So I cannot really go anywhere else with it (ie. NZ, Australia).
3) Easier updating the maps. The version running on Tab does read maps from the SD card.
Lastly, not Papago's fault but I cannot find a windscreen mounting kit big enough for the Tab. So now it rests on the dash with a two-sided suction cup. See picture.

Hi there,
Copy the NaviSEA directory from your removable MicroSD (/sdcard/external_sd) to the the internal memory (/sdcard)
I believe this because the application by default looks for '/sdcard/NaviSEA' location for the maps.
I have no issue when running HD2 andriod cos the external MicroSD is seen as '/sdcard'..
My reply is rather late cos I just got the Tab today..

Try to work again using the link. I believe this could help you to run landscape on your Galaxy Tab. This could possibly be supported by Papago on running the application.
