Re: Garmin releases StreetPilot for iPhone in US and Canada
VLC Player for iPhone allows one to upload media file to iPhone via iTune. Garmin should have had something similar so we could load any country Garmin file instead of relying on 3G to download the file. For, SG/MY users once we're out from home country, the apps is useless due to the exorbitant roaming data charge!

It's only available in the US iTunes store. This is because it ONLY has maps for the US. So nobody in M'sia should ever buy it because then your money

Street Pilot - Garmin for Iphone release
Can be downloaded and purchase through online.
Re: Street Pilot - Garmin for Iphone release
dont bother la.. street pilot cant use locally stored maps (meaning maps stored in ur device), but only ori garmin map stored on their server.
so as you drive, the server will continuously load the map..
imagine this.. what if.. u drive to an area where there is no 3g/3.5G and the line switches to Edge? or wrost, GPRS.. habis.. the map will not load fast enough to be useful.
lagi worst, say ur driving along some ulu roads or towards east coast.. exit a coverage area.. no line.. then? no more map..
