Mind If you share with me how to get gingerbread on desire froyo?
Appreciate it.

jchoong wrote:This is OT but anyway..... you need to root your Desire before you can flash "cooked" Gingerbread ROMs for Desire. You can get all the details at XDA-Developers or even HWZ forum.

Definitely not OT i susposed, if you do not know what or how or not sure to do it, dun do it, i just recently sent my galaxy S to hell by downloading the wrong Rom to it, now [-o< :prayer: it will not suffer too much and await for its release....

According to M3 Asia, Papago can only support Android 2.1 devices.

Price is RM 149.

You can DL the trial version at the Android Market, and see if it works on your unit.

The trial X5 is not on Market anymore. Instead, paid versions are now available for Hong Kong, Thailand and Indonesia, BUT, none for Msia/Spore. I suspect Maction has to honour its agreement with the authorised distributors in these 2 countries - because the price of X3 on Market (US32) is significantly cheaper than the local distributor's. So, no choice; have to buy local.

Since i bought this X5 for my samsung galayx s, i never use it for navigation.

Reason: The galaxy S GPS signal locking consistency + the papago funny reaction with my galaxy scare me away. How funny: I made a turn already the papago position pointer still going straight; stop in front of traffic light, in another second my position shift to other nearby road. I see that iphone papago alredy upgrade to M8, but MY/SG region still X5SE, really dunno m3gps doing what

Really regret :$gone:

As of now, no more papago android in future phone upgrade (if get second android phone in future).

3790 will be my PND now on..

the problem with PAPAGO is that, we CANNOT set the position based on; a) GPS position or b) On road.
Try driving in subang jaya from USJ to Federal Highway using the overhead bypass. You can see that your position sometimes will be on the slip road near the housing area. If you happen to use routin, then you can see crazy route given :-(

If you use GARMIN, be it standalone GARMIN unit or GARMIN software in PDA, we can always have that option and it really helps to stay at the exact location instead on ROAD. NO problemos at all.

Isn't the Galaxy S plagued with a GPS hardware problem? Altho I have found Papago to be somewhat lacking in its routing algorithm, the X5 generally worked well on my Desire.

Hi wanna get some input fr u, let say u stop in front of traffic light so the papago speed zero, when u start moving ur car, does the speedometer of papago immediately show the increase of the speed or after a while only display the increased number?
