It's here already.... Looks good. =P~

Hi. I'm new here and from NZ.

I have a G60 and this thread interests me especially what zamad has done.

I have the USA AT&T version which I sucsessfully have got unlocked through Garmin (big hassle) and are presently using it with Vodafone here in NZ.

I tried to upgrade the fimware to APAC 2.43 and it nearly bricked my phone. Luckily I managed to get back into mass storage mode after a lot of playing around and delete the 'garmindevice.xml' and all other contents then reboot and then master reset and everything is fine. I tried to update via SD card and the nuvidrive but it did not work. I even tried deleting everything on the nuvidrive then putting the update onto the drive but it does not want to update.

I think it is in the garmindevice.xml which allows updates. Has anyone here updated AT&T version to APAC succsessfully?..or knows how to do it?

I was wondering if someone could send me there garmindevice.xml and I could try editing it with my own IMEI etc if no one has an answer.

...or at the very least please tell me the model id, part numer and software version
Its in the top 5 or so pages on the .xml . Just open garmindevice.xml with notepad.

Thanks.

( I just hope the new A50 comes unlocked and you are able to freely update firmware etc as the way it is now is a PITA)

Use POI Loader to upload a GPX (with Waypoints) to Nuvifone and locate where POI.GPI is saved at.

Use a GPX file (with Waypoints), or try uploading with this sample:

Just put it at the storage folder...Not in Garmin folder, not in System folder.

Thanks for sharing, so the GPI files should be in \POI folder or just the storage folder?
