I am still charging my Qstarz BT-1000.
The green led should light up during charging but didn't.
Hope this is not a sign of device malfunction.
I have found two software close to your mentioning in Market:
1. Bluetooth GPS by Googoo Android and
2. Bluetooth GPS Provided by mobile-j.de.
Hope you don't mind telling us which is the one you are recommending.

JayCee wrote:Brother ultrafire88,
Have replaced the dead BL-4C battery which is costly as it is an old model.
Have downloaded and want to try both applications once new battery is fully charged.
Run instructions for both applications are quite vague especially on "GPS" (ON/OFF).
Do we need to activate "GPS" with the PDA (SGS) when running both applications?
Since Papago X5 is running with off-line maps, therefore, unlike Google, it is not necessary to activate Wi-Fi on the PDA (SGS).
Appreciate you can confirm above.

I have performed tests with both GPS Status and GPS Tools right after Papagpo test.
Both GPS Status and GPS Tool were not functioning as expected.
That is, there was no satellite detail display at all.
Seems both programs were not able to detect any satellites.
Not sure if it is related to SGS GPS function was not invoked.
Now, I can happily declare the new lease of life of the Qstarz BT-Q1000 and more importantly, Papago X5 is no more just sitting in the SGS (for map retrieving purpose only).

Can papago be viewed on CSL Droidpad in landscape mode?
ultrafire88 wrote:I dobt have the csl but i m guessing it will not run in landscape mode because there r no 800x480 folders. Papago also doesnt run in landscape on my samsung galaxy sl. Maybe there is a way to "trick" it (like for the samsung tab) but u need to do a google search. My gut feel is that it is not possible
