Yes, the right soft button on map screen will cause the system to hang sometimes....but since never used, not really a problem

Today I first tried to use my 5800 with the new GMXT. It crashed when the voice prompt came out. It was ok when it was navigating; But when i came close to the next turn, just when the voice prompt came out it crashed and went to the phone menu page.

Any one experienced the same thing here? I am on V20 firmware by the way. Plan to reinstall it tonight and try again tomorrow.

Yes! it did not only hang, it will automatically shut down the garmin application. This happen a while ago when I was navigating back to my home from my office, in between the journey it automatically shut down 3 times.

Whether you guys do encounter this or not?

I do not know what really cause it to be shutting down automatically, need to try out in off mode.

Cheers!

Bro 76,

Yes, I guess the clean install did it! The "AutoRestart.exe" is finally resolved. Thank you.

Just out of curiosity... see if the offending applet stops running if you quit GMXT by quickly pressing the right soft-key in quick succession. You should get a prompt asking if you want to quit GMXT from whatever screen you're at on GMXT.

How you installed the MXT 5.00.30? Try to uninstall the existing MXT then follow install the 5.00.30, see whether it will help. :D
