For example:
1.My N95 Time is 3:45PM, and the real time is 3:40PM (I set 5 minute fastest in my phone).
2.I open my Garmin and waiting for acquiring satellites.
3.After get the 2D or 3D satellites. I saw my N95 time will same as the Real time - 3:40PM

Can i know what is the problem? any solution to solve it?

There is no problem. GPS provides the more accurate time thus syncs your phone time with it.

Yes, I had Samsung i780, now having Samsung OMNIA II, all GPS damn slow!!!

Nokia N96 is instantaneous..

I don't know why..

According to the Samsung manual, I can supposedly enable the A-GPS option.
However, I don't see any A-GPS option ! Only

1. Connection
2. XTRA

Sigh..

Bro, enable XTRA. You will get your satelite fix instantly.

Garmin sedut packet data??

Postby SilantRa » Sat Mar 20, 2010 11:55 pm

Hi all...sorry if sudah ade this topic..

i installed garmin xt into my friend's nokia E71..
all went well.. a few days later he came to me and said that he has been charged by using garmin.

I was so surprise as i never heard about this.. he showed me his phone log and it's true that his carrier (celcom) did charge him for a few kb of data..both receive and send

i check garmin online = disable
phone A-GPS = disable..

so i run a few test and check the phone log... it's look like that his carrier charged packet data everytime the i tried to used search address and press go or map.. the charges was just a few kbs ( 2kbs) ..it was nothing..

but i was so puzzled

try several method.. but then i decided to change the network from 3G(UMTS) to GSM

and changing to GSM solved the problem..

never happen to me before...but this is new to me...

just wanna share or perhaps there is a better solution

yup, thats happen to me..before,
that why i better change to PND rather than hp with gps (or agps) feature..
using 3G (hsdpa or edge or gprs) means you sedut data from your provider even ya do not realize..
but using real gps in your hp (not using agps) means same as using pnd,
get data from satellite not get added online (internet) data from your provider..

the reason u switch to GSM seems to be a temporary measure. It will best to remove the server path or internet access profile from the AGPS settings, to make sure it doesnt use any data transfer.
