Nokia N95

Postby dextrouzst » Sat Feb 21, 2009 8:34 am

You can use this software on N95 and any other phone running Series 60 (S60) 3rd Edition operating system.

You can find out your operating system by looking at the specification that comes with the phone or at Nokia website. You can also look at Wikipedia (i usually use this as it is much faster and easier) to find out your phone operating system.

This file comes with World Base map and Malaysia map.
Plus English (both American and British) voices.

Re: N95 Garmin Mobile XT Software Problems.....Need Help...

Postby vash_h » Sat Feb 21, 2009 3:15 pm

let me, a n95 user answer ur question.

what you encountered, is the all famous garmin 'lag'. happens to all phones. what i do is remove the custom POI and the phone will not 'lag' as much. Also, the lagging improved when i upgrade my phone firmware (to the latest). lagging also improved further with me switching off apps running in the background..

2nd, i jst set fastest route.

3rd, topo map adds the contours of the road to ur existing map. i dont recommend u put it in as ur phone already lag.

In the forum, mostly they ask us 2 combine the both map, but what is the difference or extra benefit we get.

Please help...Thx

:welcome: to MalFreeMaps.

Topo lines give additional info to your map if you have enough storage space in your unit for the larger map file and if your unit is refreshing fast enough to handle the extra overhead. Otherwise you will have to forget it as Bro vash_h suggested.

Read HERE for more info on topo lines.

logo in the map is still showing far away.

Are you driving a heavily tinted car? some users reports of problems getting good signal in vkool tinted cars. Go through Garmin XT on Nokia N95 thread to check for similar problems...
