Download the X8.5 file and extract it. Then copy the whole map folder (MFM-PPG-X8.5-120104) into the NaviSEA/Maps folder. You can delete the folder that contains the old map files.

BTW guys, is Papago still in business selling this software? Email them. Quiet as a church mouse. One thought I wrote to the morgue!

Yes, you can see the map version by going to Settings and scroll to the bottom - Software Version.

My copy of M8 is Engine Version M8 Build: Jul 27, 2011. It is for MY/SG.

Installed but having problem.

Can search for POIs and set Start Point and Destination. But once I press the Navi button the map goes blank (see pics).
Distance for Time Square is 3,226KM (must be from Taipeh).

Can't read Chinese so agak agak on the settings.

Help.

Hi, this is normal. The GPS is locating your location and the default location set is at Taiwan since this is Taiwan version. You can just leave it for 10 minutes outdoor to locate the satalite. or you can download GPS status apk to lock the satelite first before open the papago. Once it has locked the satalite, then it should be fine on the next time as it tooks only one time to lock satelite.

pjchin wrote:Dear all

i installed M8 taiwan version into my android phone. i have few questions here:

1) May i know where can i get the latest malaysia map for M8?
2) Does MfM X8.5 map compatible for it?
3) Does papago M8 in Malaysia version (english) avalaible? if so, where can i download from?

Your kind reply is very much appreciated. Thank you

Best Regards

1. You can get the map here : http://www.malfreemaps.com/viewtopic.ph ... 1&start=40
2. MfM X8,5 is compatible with M8 malaysian version, but not taiwan version. it seems like there are some modification of the map is required in order to fit X8.5 into M8 taiwan. Can someone find out which one to modify?

3, M8 english is available for malaysian version. if u see tranditional chinese at the begining, that one was taiwan version.
