PaPaGO! X5 (Android)

Postby sable » Wed Jul 28, 2010 7:22 pm

Hey all. I don't know if this has been discussed before...

Basically I just got the PaPaGO! X5 from m3shoppe. I followed the instructions that was give.

1. Copy files and folders from the CD (copied the entire "Navi" folder) to my sd card root directory
2. Downloaded the .apk from "http://www.papago.com.tw/andsea" and installed it
3. Tried to run the app.

When i try to run the app, I instantly get the message:
"Map data validating failed!
Please copy valid map data onto sdcard then reopen the program"

I've tried using the map downloaded from this forum as well and it doesnt work!!!
Can anyone help me? Thanks so much. :(

Device Info:
HTC Desire
Android 2.1 -update1

UPDATE: In case anyone has this same problem, the reason is that the .apk provided on the website is not compatible with the data files they sent in the disc. Email m3shoppe and ask them for an update and they will do so (mine was free of charge as I had previously asked them about Android 2.1 compatibility - the update is supposedly to make it work on Android 2.1). I don't know if you'll have to pay for shipment if you had a working older version and want the upgrade to use Android 2.1.

Maps update for Papago Android

Postby casper » Sun Sep 05, 2010 1:04 pm

As a community maps forum, I will be very appreciated and patiently wait for update for maps on papago android device.
however, since m3gps has officially put malfreemaps as maps provider and the maps version i purchased from m3gps has all wrong icons, and no update till now.

i'm in dilemma, as a consumer that buy the software, i should complain hell of it, but as the map provider from malfreemaps community, i should appreciate the community instead.

so, could anyone one helps me when i'll get an update on the maps or what is the status now? i know this has been brought up multiple times over the forum but not really a definite answer. Please help, and i dont know what is the deal in between m3gps and malfreemaps, it seem like it becomes biz binding or biz deal instead of community forum now. Dont get me wrong, my post here is not about the deal discussion, but would really hope to see the plan of maps for papago android.
