Yes, but the Assisted-GPS (A-GPS) data is received from the network's data connection. With A-GPS enabled, you'll get GPS fix faster. You can however turn off this feature at Tools > Settings > General > Positioning > Positioning Methods.
i can't access the menu as listed above.
from garmin main page i can choose TOOLS > SETTINGS > SYSTEM > REMOTE GPS, when i choose disable, i can choose between USE BLUETOOTH GPS or USE ATTACHED / BUILT IN GPS only
i choose the latter one, USE ATTACHED / BUILT IN GPS, but under my GPS information screen, it displays my unit id: number and below it shows Assisted GPS

The menu I'm referring to is the Nokia phone's menu, not GMXT.

5.00.20 didn't fully support 5800, only 5.00.30 upward support 5800 touch screen input
