Prob now when I approach speed trap area or school zone, no audio notification sound alert. Only the poi sign appear on the map. Anybody know how to make the audio notification sound. Thanks in advan & appreciate ur help

I have this same problem, any sifu can advise?
POI sign appear on the map, but no sound ....
Driving where got time to keep on checking my GPS for POI ....

The A10 will not play the audio alerts for the CPOIs, and I've tried CPOIs using MP3 and WAV formats. Only garmin-asus can help solve this problem since this is firmware issue, but I'm not too optimistic on them releasing any software updates because their partnership was dissolved quite recently. ](*,)

Holy crap ....
Good Phone, Good GPS, no sound for warning. (Basket)
Well ... i still love my A10.
Thanks for the info Zamad

A10 used to run on Android 1.6 (Donut) - CPOI alerts work well with it.
Then A10 upgrade the OS to Android 2.0/2.1 (Eclail), the CPOI alerts got screwed. No sound ...
Anyone know any work around it?

If that is the case, then it's the OS issue! BTW, I assume the CPOIs run with MP3 and not the WAV alerts. Is this correct?

To install new map into A10, just copying the GMAPSUPP.IMG file into the [SD Card\GARMIN] folder?

I download other country map such as Taiwan, China and etc. all file name is "gmapsupp.img", same file name. So.. If i want install all map in A10, all use same file name? or need to re-name.. such as gmapsupp1.img, gmapsupp2.img and so on...

pls advice... Thank you.

As with Nuvi, you have 3 choices

1. Use different SD card for each country ... better, as it is unlikely you can drive from China to Taiwan
2. Store in in same SD card under same filename and use lappy to switch file name to country you are going
3. Merge the map files using "Gmaptool".

The mfm Garmin map doesn't have any junction view features... and you cannot add it to the map.
