This is so far what I have time to draw:
Phuket.mp

This includes all my tracklogs that will be converted to polylines eventually:
Phuket.mp

After that is done, I will have to rely on GE or contributions from members.

Hope this is satisfactory.

So far so good :D

Yes, you can.. but where are you base now?
You can start by doing Polygon for Chonburi.

Anyone like to volunteer to help with Northern Thailand, particularly with the following cities?

1. Chiang Mai
2. Chiang Rai
3. Phayao
4. Mai Sai

Would appreciate tracklogs. POIs, map-offsets and if anyone is keen.... polygons.

But before the Thailand mapping effort gets too haphazard, maybe an overall plan for map-tiles and standardisation of road class labelling, etc may be considered? I am most happy to align my N Thailand map with an overall mapping effort.

BTW - my map can be downloaded from MapCenter2:

Wikipedia article on Thailand road class may help us standardize on the road classification:

Happy to report north-west Samui is zero offset...but not the rest of the island.

BTW, should we spell Koh or Ko for "island"?

That is the border between 2 GE images. Be careful here. You need a different offset for each GE tile. Sometimes, the offset is a little different from one side of a tile to the next side - eg on a slope of a mountain.

Also note that at different zoom levels, the offset may be a little different.

Lastly, in hilly areas (like N Thailand where I map), there can be significant differences between GE and tracks recorded from GPSr. May be a nightmare trying to reconcile a long track with GE images. I have spent a whole day just working on one road that traverses a long distance.
