My case:
1. Both case used create object-->Polygon Rectangle.
2. Both case never tick snag to grid.
3. Only different, one type polygon are exactly inline from north to south and east to west, where esle the one run out is at an angle from north to south(Slanting).

Ok. I have another idea for it. I need to make some sample to compare.
but just receive message from my boss, tomorrow Qcc project presentation. Japanese Boss, Managing director, Manager, A.Manager, Engineer...etc all big boss will attend.
Everything need to on hold.
just concentrate on tomorrow presentation.

0x0a (university) cant really be seen in Nuvi. Color too light?

What is code for Toll House?
What to do with scattered houses like kampung? Any code for kampung or uses 0x03?

Agreed. 0x0a for night color skin is okay, but when in daytime mode, the color rarely can see.
I am using 0x03 for kampung house, for me they are still under house category.

Sorry, I meant the area, kampung area...not the house. :)

Mmm ... I don't see a solution other than understanding that our Garmin IMG maps cannot have points nearer than about 2-3m to each other. Remember we set our GPSMapEdit Level0=24bits? That 24bits is the maximum resolution on Garmin IMG maps. And with 24bit resolution you can only have points about 2-3m to each other. That of course means rotated small rectangles corner points may be moved so far to distort the shape.

Try setting waypoints nearer than 2m to each other in Garmin Mapsource. You'll find you can't, since Mapsource will not be able to store the resolution.

Try setting Mapsource Edit>Preference>Position to "Lat/Lon hddd.ddddd". You'll see the accuracy for positions in Garmin Mapsource in only to 5decimal degree points. What's the accuracy of the points/polylines/polygons in your GPSMapEdit? Isn't it set to ddd.dddddd (6decimal degree points)? So even when you have your rotated rectangles in 6decimal points GPSMapEdit it'll get distorted when converted/truncated into Garmin Mapsource 5decimal points accuracy.

For those who don't have registered MapEdit like me  , may i know what is the best method to draw polygon by referring to GE image?

if i get the 4 corners coordinate for shop lots and place it on MapEdit and join the polygon by clicking all four points, is it acceptable? is there any better way? ... aiyo sorry i ask too many Qs

This is a snapshot taken as mentioned above

Bro Nik,
First thing I want to say sincerely is: Salute your passion on polygon mapping. :prayer: :prayer: :prayer:
It can be done by using the four points as referrence and delete them off after polygon being drawn, but your coordinate have to be accurate.
Personally I think it is too much works and efforts, in addition, the progress will be very slow. Better get the mapedit license, around RM200+ from ecms. :) You will really feel sastify when you saw your polygons gradually filling up the empty map.

haha.. Thanks!! \:D/ I think i'm getting addicted to this polygon thingy... about the 4 corner coordinates, i agree its quite messy to get all coordinates around the corners but what to do.. no money to buy license leh :frus:

but i manage to save all coordinates to .kml file and convert them into gpx file and open it with MapEdit.. but i really wonder how are we going to use the GE image as reference if the GE coordinate is not exactly same like our MFM coordinate?

example is like snapshots below (by sequence)
