Sorry to pour cold water guys, but I still prefer original scenery as per what we see on the roads as to assist in quick decisions in changing lanes. As for issue of advertisement boards changing when contracts expired, that is a valid point. Anyway, just an opinion, pls don't flame me.

After reading all these posts and with bro antoyng's PM, I have been thinking....

I do understand all the excitement and enthusiasm from all the members especially when we would be the first to cater junction views into our navigation units. And we know that there will 1001 different types of junctions as every junction is unique to its own in terms e.g. background. To do all of these one by one would take ages to complete and by that time, we will be left behind by our 'competitors'.

This is my opinions;

1. Come up with generic type of junction views (+ generic background) which can be used for any junction similar e.g.
a. single exit left from 3 lanes
b. single exit left from 2 lanes
c. double exit left from 3 lanes
d. double exit left from 2 lanes
e. single exit to flyover from 3 lanes
f. single exit to flyover from 2 lanes
g. double exit to flyover from 3 lanes
h. double exit to flyover from 2 lanes

This will save us lot of valuable family time and gas money. Not to mention size of each file.

2. Our 2nd phase, then only we would go for real life graphical images.

TQ

lane assist should be implemented in places with complicated exit.
like there's 3 exits at the same time or few meter after each other or right after a curve.

I don't see the purpose of having it at north south highway.

I agree with feiming. Also, we don't want to end up like the 'overkilled' polygons which is making the map 'lagging'. Just my 2 cents.

100% agreed with feiming and jans. Let concentrate on multiple exits.

jans, now 2 cents cannot buy anything.

No one will flame you just becouse you are having a diff opinion. We are here as brothers & sisters united together by our gps  .

Things that are essential for navigation must not be changed, only the adver at the background. The driver can still se the advertisement board/tower. So I doubt they will be confused. This way we do not have to change the picture everytime the adver changed.

Anyway, I also notice that sometime the adver is unchanged even after contract expired, that why we can see movie adver even after 2 years the movie was shown in Malaysia. :ko:

Thanks for the kind words. I have been in forums where they cannot take differing opinions and I feel that defeats the purposes of forums where only one opinion reigns supreme.

Anyway, the bill board ads does change over time, just that if the GPS image is similar it could be easier. Either way, when this is out, it will be good.

Some junction photos taken on the way to/coming back from Seremban GG yesterday. No time to re-arrange and filter them.
