mfm by country selection

mfm has grown a little too fast and too big.

Is it possible to split by countries ?

Example, when you want to generate map during installation, you get to pick business poi, chinese poi.
I understand they are just another set of maps.
So is it possible, in addition, to list the countries like those POI and let us tick what we want or need ?

Some of us don't leave a certain country, so having all those countries compiled is not very useful.

Example, I'm at northern part of SG.
I want to go to Jalan Belangkas, just 12km south.
I key in spell name, and type "belangkas".
It shows Jl Belangkas, 12km south.
It also shows Jl Belangkas, 302km north-west, somewhere in MY.

Now I don't need to know Jl Belangkas, 300km away.
If I can remove MY during compilation, the gps rx wouldn't have spent a lot of time searching through the whole map.

You can always use Mapsource to select whichever areas you need and send to your device.

Thanks.

I did try using mapsource, but it's a bit of trouble and I'm not sure I got all the right maps.
May I know the meaning of some of the maps ?

Thanks for the replies. :)

I posted in Project Room in the hope that country selection could be a feature that can help those who do not want the trouble of going through Mapsource or even have/know how to use it.

It would require some programming skills to alter the installation program which I understand is work.

Really appreciate your attn.
