Make a fly tour 'movie' on Google Earth with GPX file

I found a utility (TourMaker) that converts GPX file into a fly tour 'movie' in KML format. It runs on Google Earth. You can download the free TourMaker.jar file here: http://kokoro.ucsd.edu/tourmaker/

On the application, you can adjust the setting. I changed my elevation to 100ft.

Attached also is the zipped KML file of my recent track near Sungai Koyan, Pahang. On GE, the file (111229 SgKoyan-ed) will appear at the 'Temporary Places' Tab. Click this (+) and it will expand. Double click Track2011/12/29 [tour] and the KML will execute. You can increase the speed of playback by pressing the >> key.

At the end of the movie is the still untracked path

Since there are offsets on GE, you can see the tracks not aligned. The light blue path is the actual track, while the dark blue is the shadow on the GE map. Ideally, these lines should coincide.

What do you think? :-k

Buildings OK but the road resolution not so good. See my example.
Anyway, feel like need for speed

I agree. If you uncheck the 'terrain' option, then road resolution is much better. But then, the earth becomes flat!
