No no no... For Nuvi 205W, screen resolution is 480 x 272 pixels... But only 480 x 212 pixels is allocated for splash screen... Below that will be those copywrite message from the maps...

Anything bigger than 480 x 212 pixels can still be displayed... But will be auto scale down to fit into 480 x 212 pixels... :-#

Haha.. taiwan version nuvi 765, garmin never put "W" at behind even it is 4.3" !! :tease:

Yes, that's correct (at least on my Nuvi710, not sure of Nuvi2x5/7x5 series tho), which means if you use full size 480x272pixels for the splash screen, when the height (272pixels) is being squeezed down to 212pixels (to allow for splash messages below the image), the width is no longer 480 pixels, it will be about 375pixels and you will see the blank spaces at the sides.
