MFM Maps Online updater for Windows Mobile

Postby lanxp » Sat Sep 04, 2010 12:47 pm

Hi fellow mfm,

When we want an updated/latest map we need a computer to download and extract the maps. The problem is for the one who are not always with computer or no time for it.

i had an idea to create software that :

Installed to our windows mobile
when we want update our map just run the software and tap/click update.
software will download and replace the old maps.
done.

any idea, comment or suggestion?

The idea is sound good, but not really praticle.

As, it will have multiple options for different preferences for the map options. So, If we do for 1, the other will ask for their version, so on and so on... never ending stories.

Ya... That's what I use for my "default" setting for WM.

But, when you provide this "update", is that anyway to keep track on the download/update that you provided? Coz the statistic is very important for mfm to get other map release.

Hope we can have more discussion of it before it go "public"

If you want to do it, just do it. If you wait for other to give comments or requests, then it will be a never ending story.
I'm sure you will do some testing before releasing it to the public
