Mmmmmmm . I was at pekan Rabu the other day and just checking my GMXT all point of interest around the the area and it shows. I was using mfm 110221.

To all taikor here, I am very new to GPS and actually was looking for my first GPS device. Any recommendation from all taikor here? Not sure whether to go for Garmin or Papago. Need your kind advice. Thanks.

A CD player is not of much use without the CDs.

Likewise, a GPS is not of much use without up-to-date maps.

Garmin
Garmin - commercial
MFM - free
MSM - free

Papago
MFM - free

Hi,
I am using Nuvi 765. I just downloaded the latest MFM 110829 and loaded it as usual. Suddenly, whenever I entered destination, I will get the following error "Cannot calculate the route."

What wrong? I also loaded to my Oregon 300, but it work fine. Strange....

Solved my problem after I upgraded the firmware from existing v2.1 to v2.5. I downloaded from Garmin Nuvi Sing/Mal

Read about the firmware change list at http://www.garmin.com.sg/products/ontheroad/nuvi765/ under the Update tab.

Now my Nuvi 765 give no more such error both either MFM or MSM maps. But still wonder, why before this even under v2.1 I did not face this issue after using Garmin product for years. Any explanation????

Saya rasa kita tidak boleh mengedit map sendiri. Hanya mapper sahaja yang boleh update map. Kita hanya maklumkan lokasi jalan dan nama jalan tersebut kepada mapper dan mapper akan update.

Ya..cukup betul..Hanya mapper sahaja yang dapat edit Peta Garmin.

Nak edit peta boleh. Mapper kita pun orang biasa. Mereka tiada kaitan dengan Garmin. Tetapi edit peta it sangat susah. Kena buat banyak kerja. Lagipun, mesti beli software yang mahal (order dari Internet). Jadi, mapper kita itu volunteer untuk buat kerja yang susah it bagi seluruh komuniti kita. Terima kasih lah kepada mapper.
