I would like to thank you all for your contributions.
I have been using MFM for years going back for Hari Raya and has been very useful to use alternative kampung/felda routes to avoid traffic jams.
However, every year I get stuck going thru Machang & Sungai Kelantan Bridge... because of the traffic lights etc.
You can get stuck for hours here.

The current maps does not seem to have an alternative route to the south etc..
Any recommendations?

Here's my suggestion. The routes is to bypass the Machang and Wakaf Bata trafficlights. Unfortunately I could not find alternatives to avoid the Tanah Merah Bridge.

Have you tried KT, T156 west, 8, Gua Musang, Ipoh, Penang?
Will it be faster then KT, Tanah Merah, Jeli, Grik, Penang?
How about KT, T156 west, 8 North, D228 west, Dabong, Jeli, Grik, Penang?

I tried T156 2 years ago, lalu jalan Felda thru cameron highlands... jalan takde tar lagi.
Tapi tak ingat when tar road starts.

to Penang, better through Tanah Merah. Fastest.
Cannot comment on the Dabong-Jeli route. Never try it yet.

The Kuala Berang - Gua Musang is for Ipoh and Cameron Highlands.
