n i download the file " setia alam POI 22042009.gdb " , n i put in my gps/ garmin/poi floder , it doesnt show anythings in my gps, it only can see in mapsource ? can u teach me how to show in gps ?

hi ethan,

normally we'll try to track new roads to contribute to making the map as accurate and updated as possible...once tracked, either myself or anyone here will upload the new tracks and the mappers i.e. sunn, etc will update the maps...once compiled with other *maps*....it will be release as a new version...

and for the POIs..once loaded same thing as above, the mappers will load into the maps...be patient and they will be updated into the maps...if you can't wait then you can use mapsource to *send* the POIs into your nuvi....

so far files i uploaded are POIs...no tracks yet...Setia is pretty updated except setia damai area..

how to upload the tracks ? is it i post the name of street in here then mappers will update it ? or need to do some things ?

n one more thing is i saw the map show "7-11 taman megah cheras' poi is wrong, it show is 'apartment', so how can i tell mappers know that n collect it ? or i need to collect it by myself ?

when i online i got go to 'Newbie Lounge' to read that can let me learn more

hi ethan,

you need to track first using a nuvi which can track or any other tracking device..save the track into a *.gdb file and upload it...

if you can find the coordinates of the wrong POI...maybe cut the image from mapsource...publish it at the *right* forum so that the mappers can get it fixed...
