My ASEAN Free GPS Map Project

long route from Jalan Masjid, Bdr Utama to Aquarium Xian Leng.

Tried on my nuvi for few times, it still route me to KL then only turn back to Shah Alam even the latest map..

Try to route it in mapsource as advise from brothers over here.(But it show straight line as the route)

I even tried to route from Kelana Jaya, same thing happend.

Hope you guys can see clearly on the map.

i think ur garmin is set to offroad.. try to set it to 'faster time' or 'Shorter Distance' in 'Route Preference'..

Bro stivff, the aquarium xian leng POI in map is off road and too far from the main road thus the routing tool has problem to route from road. Mapper has to adjust the POI to be closer to road.

Meanwhile you can manually create a second Aquarium Xian Leng POI via mapsource as favourite to e closer to road. Routing will then work.

Can anyone get the tracks from the main road leading to the Aquarium? Just like a member did for the Sec 7 Shah Alam Park.

The setting i'm using is actually "shorter distance".. & i did try on "Faster Time".. Same result.

The straight line is from Mapsource.. I did try on my nuvi.. My nuvi route me from Jalan Masjid --> Kepong --> Batu caves --> KL --> Federal Highway --> Aquarium Xian Leng..

I can actually point it to the front road & it works(correct route) but if i point to Aquarium Xian Leng.. It will asked me to go round the world..

I can still live with it because i know the way to the place but i just can't imagine if someone who don't know the location & been fool by this..

The map needs some correction. Bro Sunn is requesting for tracks. Maybe you can contribute so he can make amendments to it

Similar problems routing to Laman Budaya and Restoran Tasik Indah. They are all closer to the jogging path which is not connected to any road. Routing will only work if you are from the jogging path. Need to either make the jogging path non-routable or shift all POIs closer to road. Adding more unconnected footpaths might make it worse.
