If you are using Smartphone with Android OS, you can download from their Play Store, free apps, MyTracks by Google.
MyTracks can do a 1-sec tracking as well as mark a POI like Restoran, Klinik, etc. You can also geotag a POI with MyTracks.
The 1-Sec Tracklog and POIs can be saved in GPX format and can be read by Mapsource and GPSMapEdit.

Can we use the apps while offline ?

Normally, I use it for online tracking. The POI Marker will only be visible when you are online. I will usually review my tracklog offline, save it and transfer to PC for editing.
Do try to play around and give feedback.

anybody here from UKM?, notice few new road near Engineering department area. I did some track log but only until main road lead to new Engineering building only..no time to track everything.

FYI, I have tracked the latest opened SKVE Highway stretch today from Teluk Panglima Garang to Pulau Indah but will not be updated in the coming Garmin map release.

Look like Jalan Pandan 1 elevated Road/Highway already opened to traffic since 15 April 2014 Any Trackers from Pandan Indah or Taman Maluri to confirm.

Dear all adventurous roadsters & mappers... this whole area of Jalan Cheras needs to be re-tracked due to road diversions as a result of massive MRT constructions.
