The Canopy walkway

Located in Bukit Lagong Forest Reserve, this walkway system was
constructed in 1992 with aid from the German Agency for Technical
Cooperation (GTZ). The walkway system spans about 200m and suspended
between trees about 30m above ground.

The main trees species on which this system is suspended are Chukrasia
tabularis (Surian batu), Intsia palembanica (Melembu), Artocarpus
elasticus (Terap nasi) and Shorea pauciflora (Meranti nemusu).

The walkway system and the platforms are vantage point from which
one experience a panoramic view of the forest. Beside this, the
walkway system functions as a platform for scientific study of canopy
plants and animals.
