Bro mappers,

I'm planning to buy 60Csx next week. Based on yr experience, do they have any diff between TW/Sin/Mal and US version. I'm currently navigating on 200W & intend to start mapping!

1. What is the current prictag? I heard it is around RM13xx. The last price watch on MSM was RM1450.

Cheerio!

If you want to do your own routable map, by owning a 60Csx is not enough, you need to have licensed mapedit(RM200+) and cgpsmapper(USD750) for your routable map compilation.

But if your intention is to collect track log for contribution, and since you own a Nuvi200W, you don't need to buy 60Csx, just buy a GPS data logger that can do 1sec track log will do. I used this method currently. Unless you are a serious trecker. :)

:tq: :rox:

rgds,

For tracking, as I mentioned, you can buy a GPS logger that can do 1 sec update interval. Of course 60csx has more function if budget is not a concern. :D

For polygon drawings, just need to buy the mapedit license(Around RM204) that enable you to view your map together with google map as background.

Garmin 60CSX - Unit accuracy reading problem?

Postby luminox » Tue Nov 25, 2008 3:07 pm

Good day fellow MFM,

I must say this unit has serve it's purpose, no regrets owning it but lately for the past 1 month, i observed the accuracy reading has gone volatile from as low "-/+ 2m" to "-/+ 103m" occasionally. At times the unit constantly reads it accuracy between "-/+ 28m/35m."

I'm not sure what has gone wrong but would like to find out if any owners are having such problems? Does the monsoon season during this time are to be blame for this problem.

Would be great to have some feedback.

Many thanks.
